Reuter-Stokes
Manufacturing harsh environment detection technology for precise radiation measurement, nuclear reactor monitoring, UV flame detection, and downhole sensing for oil & gas drilling.
A legacy of quality, a future of excellence
Reuter-Stokes was founded in 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to manufacture ceramic-to-metal seals. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of Reuter-Stokes detectors installed around the world in a variety of harsh environment energy applications including oil & gas, nuclear power generation, radiation monitoring & measurement, and industrial flame sensing for gas and hydrogen turbines.

Nuclear Instrumentation
Boiling Water Reactor, Pressurized Water Reactor, and Small Modular Reactor solutions developed from our decades of experience with ex-core and in-core neutron monitoring detectors. Engineered to avoid unplanned shutdowns and to ensure timely startups, rapid issue resolution, and effective delivery alignment with outage schedules and goals.
Radiation Measurement & Monitoring
State of the art Helium-3, Boron-10, and hybrid radiation detectors for applications ranging from reactor monitoring and security to material science research and space exploration. With over 187,000 liters of ³He processed since 2002, Reuter-Stokes understands the importance of gas conservation and we continue to take actions to ensure that ³He gas will be available for these critical applications.
Flame Sensors
Elevate safety, uptime, and operational efficiency with harsh environment flame sensing technology with over 500 million operating hours. Reuter-Stokes' flame sensors are designed for monitoring a wide range of industrial burners and equipment including gas turbines, industrial boilers, steam methane reformers, and many others.
Downhole Drilling Detectors
Deeper drilling requires tools that can handle harsher downhole conditions. When you need your sensors to be accurate, durable, and reliable, oilfield services companies and OEMs around the globe turn to Reuter Stokes sensors to deliver precise readings in challenging Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD), Logging-While-Drilling (LWD), and Wireline drilling environments.
